Because a big Merengue act who apparently did not play in the Dominican Republic for more than 10 years is coming back for a big concert on December 17th, day of my supposed birthday party event on a beach close to Santo Domingo, my show has been cancelled because it was impossible to make it a beach party, and it would have had to be a party in the city, in a club. Apparently people would not drive one hour to get to the beach after a show like this, or even the day before, so I think that after last year’s magic party, with the sea waves, the fire on the beach and the gorgeous sunrise of the morning, it was best to keep it as a wonderful memory and wait for the right moment to try and reproduce it again, instead of doing a party in a indoor venue, in the city, where the magic of the sea would be missing for sure. I don’t know what his name is, that Merengue act, but he better be good to take away from me my sweet and loved Dominicans! 😉 Hope to see you all soon anyway! Lots of love, Barbara x
