Hey everyone!!! I want to thank all the nice people who made my night from last Thursday in Ottawa one of my best nights of the last few months! It was totally refreshing to play in such a small and cool little club (Helsinki) and be able to play such slow, funky minimal acid house and techno, without anyone asking me to play harder all the time!! To be perfectly honest, if all my gigs were like last Thursday in Ottawa, or like my last Iturnem night here in Montreal, then I would be so happy! I understand that when you go to McDonalds you want McDonalds, and when you buy Coca Cola you want Coca Cola, but I really wish people could be more open to artists, and not expect always the same sound out of them. Art changes, Trade Marks don’t. And although well-known artists get recognized by their sound, they are artists after all and it’s just normal that they evolve and they change. Unlike McDonalds or Coca Cola. Thanks for trying to understand this… Barbara
