So I am in Toronto Pearson airport now, waiting for my flight for home that’s delayed forever! I arrived from Mexico a couple of hours ago and now I must connect over here but since there’s been 15 centimeters of snow in Montreal today (I cannot believe this, we are almost in May!! And I miss riding Amber!) now all flights are ****ed up!
I had such a great time in Mexico though that this wait is worth the pain, as I haven’t slept yet since I finished my last gig this morning in Monterrey. I feel like I am a zombie, but it doesn’t matter because Mexico was just WOW! I always say that my favorites countries to play in are Latin countries and this weekend reconfirmed this opinion of mine again! They love it hard over there and they’re not scared of the fat beats! Plus, there are really pretty men and women all well dressed and by looking at them you’d never think they enjoy techno so much (but then again if one looks at me he’d never think I am a techno DJ either…!) and then they’re screaming and smiling and dancing until 9 in the morning, banging their head just as I like it and with hands in the air and all! I really love it when I see people that enjoy this non-commercial music so much without necessarily fitting the stereotype image of a clubber or a raver.
So anyway, great gigs, good food and niiiiiiiiiiiiice people! Thanks so much to Michael, Karina, Guadalupe and Carlos from Mexico City and Antonio and Benito from Monterrey! I already look forward to be back!
Now I have another 2 hours wait over here as apparently it is still snowing in Montreal….. fun!
