Guadalajara, February 15th 2006

So I got in Guadalajara by miracle, as our flight from Montreal got into Chicago so late that my connecting flight almost left without us! Of course we made it but my records stayed behind. Poor them. They stayed all alone in Chicago all day, and were on a night flight to Guadalajara that was landing the next morning around 05:30. Problem: my set was finishing 3 hours before the arrival of that flight. I had to play with completely unknown records! Two very kind DJs from Guadalajara lent me their records: Alejandra and Sebastian. Thank you so much, you saved my life! I just had a very difficult time going through unknown records during my whole set. While one was playing I was quickly going through the other ones to try and find one that would fit, but I had to listen to them in my headphones really quickly. It was a nightmare, but in the end it was all ok. Thank God I had a CDr with I LOVE YOU, my new track, as it helped me and it rocked the crowd when I played. If anybody wondered why my set was EXTREMELY minimal, well… now you know… those were not my records. They were really great records, but I wished I would have had my ones… Anyhow, I hope you liked the show anyway. And hopefully next time I will be in Guadalajara I will be able to show you what I can really do when I have my music with me. A big thanks also to Ana for her amazing strength and patience for having put all this party together. She is great and super kind and took really great care of us. See you all soon!
