Hey everyone! I just wanted to share with you my feelings about my first video clip experience! This past weekend in Toronto we shot the video clip for my next single “I’m Running” of my upcoming album, which is the duet that I sang along with Sam Roberts.
The director of the clip was Lisa Mann, based out of Toronto. I was really impressed with her team and the whole production, it was the real deal! Everyone was so tight and professional, and they were all so nice!! From the director, assistant director, to the stylist, make up artist, director of photography, cameraman, the stunt coordinators and the stunt actors, the drivers, and really everyone involved in the production, and of course the lovely lady who prepared all the food for us, which I think I ate most of!! Seriously, as soon as I’d have a break I was very easy to find… I’d be in the food corner, eating. My excuse was that eating was the only way for me to have the energy for running so much and fighting the cold. Everyone believed me! 😉
But I have to admit that we had a really gorgeous sunny day and got really lucky with the weather, as it could have been awful with snow or rain! But still, Sam and I literally ran for 12 hours, outside, in the cold. And of course I ran in high heels… Ouch. I don’t know how Sam felt the next day but I can say for myself that I really had a hard time walking. My whole body was sore. My legs from the running and my shoulders and neck and back from the stunts we did. But we really had a blast and we were happy we got to do a few stunts ourselves. Sam has been so kind and generous of his time, he had literally just got off 6 months straight of touring hardcore, and instead of being home and resting he came in Toronto to shoot a video and to run!! What a fun day! It’s gonna look wicked and I can’t wait to see it!! That’s it, I’m not revealing anything else in here, as you’ll have to see it for yourself. I feel very lucky to have had the opportunity of living such an enjoyable experience by working with such a good team and talented people. And I’m also really happy to have had the opportunity of meeting in person the team at Maple that’s going to be working on the release of my album, they are all so nice and I feel blessed because I feel that I’m in really good hands!
